Dr. Nathan Lemay grew up in rural Massachusetts and always wanted to become a physician. He attended Connecticut College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology. Prior to his medical training, he worked as a research assistant at UMass Medical School conducting biochemical research on ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) and worked as an EMT in the greater Boston area. Dr. Lemay attended medical school at University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received his family medicine residency training from the ECHN Family Medicine Residency, serving as chief resident and graduating in 2020. After graduating, he pursued a career in hospitalist medicine and worked for Sound Physicians at Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital. While working as a hospitalist he remained connected to medical education training by becoming a faculty member and inpatient medicine director for the ECHN Family Medicine Residency. In 2025, Dr. Lemay was hired to be the Program Director of the ECHN Family Medicine Residency, now called the UConn Family Medicine Residency at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Dr. Lemay also serves as a board member for the Connecticut Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Lemay and his wife Sarah have one son, Declan, who tries to keep them as busy as possible. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, hiking, reading, traveling, and attending concerts and theater performances.
